Our founders are degreed horticulturists who have owned and operated Unique Landscaping since its inception in 1986. Both have decades of experience working with gardening and horticulture, and they are also passionate about our tree farm and retail tree lot. The duo has taken on a host of community service projects and committees in addition to owning Unique Landscaping, they are currently active with beekeepers, Botanical Research Institute of Texas, the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association, and Lone Star Irrigation Association. The Kauffman's hope to set up their company for a long legacy of excellence in landscaping, environmental sustainability, and fair business practices.

Gena
Your point of contact throughout the design and installation process. Gena is a friendly, welcoming individual with a degree in horticulture from Tarleton State University. She's the Client Specialist who keeps our team up and running by coordinating schedules, distributing resources, and keeping the rest of the team focused and efficient. Gena loves hearing the designers discuss which plants they've selected for each project and how each variety will contribute to the end result.
Donna
One of Unique Landscaping's owners. Donna is a talented horticulturist with a strong ability to turn your needs and desires into a concrete plan. She's a relentless problem-solver who will research your questions until she has the perfect answer, and her designs form the backbone of our projects. Donna has a soft spot for perennials and flowering shrubs, and she is a practicing horticulturist who volunteers her time learning and growing with the Botanical Research Institute of Texas.
Kurt
Our other owner and operator. Kurt does a little bit of everything around here. Currently, he manages our tree farms, works closely with field crews during the design and installation process and on estate maintenance, and gives final approval for all of our projects. He's also a licensed irrigator and sources all plant material directly from local growers for each of our projects. On top of everything else, Kurt is a seasoned beekeeper!
